Eyebrow Restoration

Eyebrows are the highlighting part of the face and their symmetry is of utmost importance. It not only gives a pleasant look to the face but also defines your facial structure. Eyebrow reconstruction can be done according to the desired structure, density and size, thus enhancing its shape and the length.

It is a simple, minimally invasive procedure in which the surgeon harvests healthy, balding resistant hair follicles from the back of the scalp, chest or back area and plants them in the eyebrows, in the areas of need. The surgery can be used for enhancing existing sparse eyebrow or for recreating eyebrows in individuals who have lost their brows due to trauma, burn or accident.

Pre-op Preparation

Like the traditional hair transplant procedure, eyebrow transplant also involves some pre-operative care. Here are the things that you should avoid prior to the surgery:

  1. Stop taking blood thinners – all, homeopathic, allopathic and natural.
  2. Quit smoking two to three weeks prior to your brow transplant.
  3. Cut your alcohol consumption 5 to 7 days before the surgery.
  4. Avoid applying any makeup before heading to the clinic for the surgery.

  • After the surgery expect the treated areas to be sore and tender for a day or so.
  • The next morning, damp your eyebrows slightly to remove any scab or dried crusts.
  • Most of the patients experience little or no discomfort during and after the procedure and go to the office the next day.
  • Every time you wash your eyebrows, don’t forget to apply prescribed antibiotic ointment.
  • Bruising after a transplant is also common and subsides in 5 to 7 days.
  • The scab normally takes 7 to 10 days to fall off.
  • The transplanted follicles will also shed and enter a dormant phase for about 3 to 4 months before they start growing back.
  • You will start noticing signs of growth in your eyebrows 4 to 5 months after the surgery.
  • Full results may be seen after 8 to 12 months.

I had an eyebrow transplant in early June and just wanted to let you know I am so excited about the results! I’ll admit I was a bit worried that it wasn’t going to grow in properly but American Aesthetic Medical Center did an amazing job! Such a difference… thanks again for a wonderful job!

I just wanted to say I am beyond happy with my brows. It’s been 8 months since the procedure, and my eyebrows are simply perfect. They look natural and I don’t even have to use any make-up to cover them.

The AAMC team was fantastic, and took such good care of me. It’s so nice to have eyebrows, wow! I would have done it years ago if I had known about the procedure. Everything is healing nicely, no infection or problems.
